Apple acquires Prismo Technologies

Apple has reportedly acquired technologies from Prismo Graphics, a small developer of video editing and effects software for the Macintosh. Although neither company has confirmed such a deal, sources indicate that Prismo's INDIA Titler Pro – used in the creation of animated titles and lettering – was chief among technologies acquired. The move is another acquisition in a series of purchases by Apple. Last week, Apple acquired technologies from Silicon Grail, a maker of consumer video software. Soon after reports first surfaced, the Prismo Web site became unavailable; a public announcement has yet to be made; attempts to contact Prismo did not yield details of the acquisition.
